Belfiore, a name that recalls something beautiful, a name that recalls a beautiful flower.
As we well know, appearances can be deceiving, and this is one of those cases that are no exception. Perhaps you have never thought about the true meaning of the choice of our name since, automatically, it is associated with a beautiful flower; however, for us, it was not a random choice. Invented names seemed beyond our reach, family names too common, and place names too sentimental.
In 1992, Antonietta and Giorgio, with their respective children, decided to create a hospitality structure that could be passed down from generation to generation, preserving the values with which it was built. But when it was time to choose the name, all minds began to make their connections. Before laying the first brick, the construction of the hotel stood on a beautiful meadow of apple orchards kissed by the sun, and, almost in the center, near our restaurant, there was an apple tree.
Its name was BELFIORE.
For those of you who may not know, the Belfiore apple is considered a Sslowfood presidium.
